We create a universe which exists for one glorious night, and is remembered for years.
What is Copenhagen Grotesque Burlesque?
Copenhagen Grotesque Burlesque is a playground for the outlandish, the bizarre, the playful, the joyful, the creative, the passionate, and those who love to dress up, engage with others and expand their creative boundaries. We invite you to join us as a Participant, someone who creates an experience not only for yourself, but also for others, and experience an incredible night.
Copenhagen Grotesque Burlesque is more than just a fabulous costume party. Our aim is to challenge the status quo of a passive audience being entertained by creating a space for creative play, performance and experimental spontaneity.
Each event has a different theme and you can build your character, costume, and whatever else you bring to the party around that theme.
THE NEXT EVENT
Copenhagen Grotesque Burlesque: Night of the Kabukimono!
is Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Dam Hus Kro-za, aka: Damhuskroen
The vision of Copenhagen Grotesque Burlesque is to be a non-spectator event. Participation and performances are the core of the party, and we encourage you to contribute with more than just your costume, to take an active role, to become what we call Participants. This means creating an experience not only for yourself but for others at the event. Once you dive into the party, you will not only encounter curious happenings and be engaged by others, but yourself be part of the spectacle, take your role and contribute to this incredible experience.
