With Copenhagen Burlesque we aim to throw you a party that will rock your world, entertain your emotions, expand your horizon and make you happy!

It is a non-spectator event, and we would love to hear from you if you would like to take part in one way or another!

We challenge conventional ideas about a passive audience being entertained, by creating a space catering for creative play, performance and experimental spontaneity.

So with the invitation to this party, we don’t just ask you to come and watch, but to take part of the spectacle – obviously by being dressed up, but hopefully even more! This is a party where participants contribute with whatever they think is fun and in a manner according to individual urge and temper – if you for instance have a unicycle, a hulahoop, face paint, or do juggling, then bring your gadgets along and experience how much fun it is to be active and create happiness around you. Anything goes, big or small, for the pleasure and enjoyment of yourself and others!

We are ambitious but believe it’s much more fun when the magic unfolds in unpredictable ways with little surprising acts awaiting in every corner. There will be a main stage in the Ballroom and a smaller “Open stage and mic” in the lounge area, if you are up for it and want to use the stages, please get in touch with us. If you have ideas for funny or crazy things that go a little beyond just an interactive costume and need equipment, want advice on ideas, or could need an art grant to cover your cost, we would love to hear from you!
